While abduction by a stranger is the most dangerous form of kidnapping, more kids are taken and harmed by family acquaintances. Therefore the most important safety messages to teach kids discuss, not so much WHO to avoid, but HOW to identify and avoid potentially dangerous situations.

  • Share the “Safety Tips” with the children in your life by  attaching them to the fridge or family bulletin board as a conversation starter or review reminder.

  • Make copies for friends and family.

  • Explore Child Find’s website and download this and other safety flyers. You can also copy and upload/link them on your Facebook page or send them in emails.

Since our founding in 1980 by a searching mother, Child Find has helped locate thousands of missing, abducted and runaway children – with the support of individuals like you. Further, and again with your help, Child Find continues to prevent abductions through education, alternative conflict resolution and skill-building.
